A Change of Direction

In 1995 I decided to resign from Saudia, partly because of the uncompromising attitude of my Saudi supervisor and partly because the time had come to leave, and bought the old presbytery from a French woman, which had a guest cottage and was located 25 kilometres from Paphos in the west of Cyprus, the Island of Love. I did not have any kind of paid employment but worked on restoring the house and garden and lived an idyllic life with my young family for four years. We bought a Mitsubishi 4X4 and I travelled around the countryside picking up building stone with which to build an extension to the house...............
